New Delhi, Sept 25: The courtroom is set for a high-profile showdown! Former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, best known for leading the controversial 2021 Aryan Khan “drugs-on-cruise” case, has now locked horns with Bollywood’s star clan.
Wankhede has slapped a ₹2 crore defamation suit against Netflix, Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, and none other than Aryan Khan, who directed the new docu-drama “Bads of Bollywood.”
🔥 What’s the Fight About?
According to Wankhede, the Netflix show paints him in a “false, malicious, and defamatory” light—undermining not only his personal reputation but also the image of anti-drug enforcement agencies.
One of the flashpoints: a scene where a character allegedly flashes a middle finger right after chanting “Satyamev Jayate.” Wankhede claims this is not only derogatory but also a violation of the National Honour Act, 1971.
đź’° The Big Ask
₹2 Crore damages (to be donated to Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital if awarded).
A permanent injunction to stop the streaming and distribution of the series.
A court declaration branding the content as defamatory.
⚡ Why It Matters
The case doesn’t just pit an ex-NCB officer against Bollywood royalty—it reopens old wounds from the infamous 2021 cruise party bust, when Aryan Khan was arrested but later walked free after no drugs were found on him.
With Red Chillies and Netflix in the defendant’s box, this battle is poised to become one of the most-watched legal dramas in Bollywood’s history.
